Topic: Family of Matilda J Thompson and Thomas Richardson
From: Marilyn Monson monson9@msn.com
Date: Tuesday, August 26, 2003 06:38 PM

In the 1880 US Census for Lowell, Cherokee, Kansas there appears a Matilda J Richardson with children George, Jack, Maggie, Ida, and Emma. Matilda was the widow of Thomas Richardson (born abt 1815 in Kentucky). Matilda and Thomas were married 5 Oct 1851 in Cass Co., Illinois and all of their children were born in Illinois. So I believe they did not come to Cherokee County until the late 1860's or 1870's. Matilda was the daughter of Samuel H. and Matilda S. Bradley Thompson and Thomas was the son of Shadrach and Mary Elizabeth Garrett Richardson. Can anyone help me with further information on Matilda and Thomas and the children? Marilyn Monson
