THE WESTERN STAR, 29 September 1911
Obituary of DAVE W. BRIDGWATER
D. W. BRIDGWATER NEAR BEDFORD, IND., ON WEDNESDAY.

On last Wednesday Mrs. O. E. Fish who lives near this city, received a telegram announcing that her brother, D. W. Bridgwater, had died that morning at his home near Bedford, Ind., after an illness of only a few days. Mr. Bridgwater came from Lawrence county, Ind., to Comanche county in the year 1884 and settled in Valley tp. He continued to live in this county until the middle of last November when he returned to Indiana to make his home with his brother, Tom. The news of his death will bring to his many old time friends in this county a keen sense of sadness and of regret. Dave was a good neighbor and citizen, true to his friends, generous and obliging. Had he lived until next February he would have been 63 years of age. Mr. Bridgwater left no family.
