| Obituary of LOUIS BLAIR |
| DEATH OF LOUIS BLAIR Louis Blair died on last Friday morning, October 11, 1918, at the home of his father in Englewood after an illness of about three weeks, resulting from typhoid fever. For some time he had been making his home in this city and working for the Standard Oil Co., and had gone to Englewood to be with his relatives during his illness. His condition had not been considered critical until Friday morning, when he became worse and died within a few hours. Burial was made in Englewood cemetery. At the time of his death Mr. Blair's age was about 24 years. Three years ago in Englewood he was united in marriage with Miss Grace Smith, who, with one daughter, survives him. Louis was a kind husband and father and was trusted and esteemed by all who knew him. About three years ago he united with the M. E. church in this city and his life was a consistent exemplification of the transforming influence of the Christian religion. He died in the faith which he professed. Besides his wife and young daughter, he leaves a father, a stepmother (formerly Mrs. Jno. Blair) and one brother and many friends to mourn his passing away in the prime of his manhood. Previous to the sickness which resulted in his death he had known very few sick days. Friends here deeply sympathize with the bereaved relatives. |
