In our family papers we came across this photo and are not sure who it is. It was taken at Cornish Studio, Arkansas city, Kansas. We do not have a year but think maybe early 1910's our best guess is Arthur Meek. Meek is our family name that lived in Arkansas City, Kansas. I wanted to post this and see if anyone knew for sure. Thanks, Kristi Davis

Here is a photo of children taken in Dexter at M K Littleton's Art Gallery. Think it was probably late 1800's or early 1900's. They are descendants of Sarah Ann Pearcy Sawyer and her daugher Millie Mariah Sawyer Newman. Millie was married to Alney Green Newman and they lived in Arkansas City. They were my GGGrandparents.
Many of the Newmans and their families lived there including Alney's brother and children: Cyrus Dudley Newman. No names are on the picture. The Sawyers lived mostly in Butler County, but Sarah did live with Millie in Cowley. I am descended for Alney and Millie to their daughter Anna Garret Newman who married Eugene Cameron Tanquary. Their daughter, Madge M. Tanquary married Walter Reed. Grandma Madge died in August 2001 at 104 years of age. I was given many of her pictures which she inherited from her grandmother Millie and great grandmother Sarah.
Thank You
Rick Reed

Photo of a young man taken in Winfield. I believe it is a photo of either Frank Hilton Greer or Charles F. Greer, son of Samuel and Clotilda Hilton Greer. Looking for confirmation of identity.

I have a very old Stump family album (probably 1880's) which includes 3 pictures of a beautiful young woman taken by a photographer by the name of Dresser, Winfield, Kansas. Most of the photos are unidentified. As some of my husband's family went to Kansas I wonder if somebody might be able to identify her. Some of the Stump family left Zanesville, Ohio (Muskingham County) and went West to Jefferson City, Mo. and Salida, Colorado as well. I noticed on the web that there were Stumps in Winfield. Thank you for any information.

All the photo says is: Great Grandmother Bartlow, it appears to be written in my Gra'Ma's handwritting, but Dad doesn't have a clue who it is. Anyway Gra'Ma's name was Hazel Jordan and it was among her things. Also taken by Geo. Dresser of Winfield.
