District #42 Easy Sunny Slope

                                     By: Austin Beckman

East Sunny Slope was a small school.  It was located nine miles south and two miles east of Grinnell.

In 1941 there was a Thanksgiving carnival that was at East Sunny Slope.  There were a lot of people that attended the program.  They made nine dollars and sixty-three cents which they used to improve the kitchen and new song books.

Also in 1941 there was a Christmas Community program held on Dec. 23rd but because of bad roads only a few people were present.

There were twelve soup bowls, eight song books, and one picture on the inventory.
