Dulcimer “Dulcie” Bertha (Bell) Clark

Dulcimer Bertha (Bell) Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bell, was born November 8, 1896, near Penokee, and passed away at the Graham County hospital June 12, 1915 after a long illness.

Dulcie. Attended Columbia school and; grew to woman· hood in this community south­east of Penokee. She was united in marriage to Albert J, Clark June 10, 1917. Five children were born to this union:, Winifred DeBoer of Hill City, Neva Simon of Topeka, Harold of Hill City, and Loyal of Wellington, Kansas. She and her husband spent their farm home. Dulcie continued at the home until poor health caused her to spend the last three years at the Dawson Place in Hill City.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age, and was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was in regular attendance as long as her health permitted.

Grandma, as she was fondly called, loved and enjoyed the pleasure of being around and visiting her many grandchildren, relatives and friends.

Her husband, Albert; one son, Herlan; one grandson, Wesley; her father and mother and one sister precede her in death. Lavina.

Besides her children, her five brothers, four sisters, 20 great-grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren survive her. 18 step ­great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Rev. Albert Smith and Rev. Allen Musbach conducted the Funeral service from the Mt. Pleasant Baptist church Sunday afternoon, June 15. Soloist, Stanley Smith, accompanied by Mrs. Albert Smith, at the organ, furnished music.

Casket beaters were: Ward Shewey Jr., James Pope. David Pope, Edwin Simon, James O'Dell, and Alvin Colbert. Interment was in the Morland cemetery. Spencer Chap­el of Hill City was in charge of arrangements.
