CAIN, Sarah Mable SMITH
The Hill City Republican -- September 14, 1916
Sarah Mable SMITH was born August 15, 1833, in Morgan County, Ohio, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas STUCK, at Lucerne, Kansas, September 3, 1916, aged 83 years, 19 days. She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, August 10, 1844, and always lived a consistent Christian life. She was married to Lawrence B. CAIN February 13, 1851. To this union seven children were born, four having died in infancy. Those who survive are: Jobe P. CAIN of Morland, Kansas; Mrs. Thomas STUCK, Lucerne, Kansas; and Mrs. Nora R. WEDLOCK of Lincoln, Nebraska. She also leaves ten grandchildren, two brothers, Daniel W. SMITH of Morland, Kansas, and Thomas H. SMITH of Kensington, Kansas.
