Clara Dinkel

Clara Dinkel, 80, of Hill City, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at the Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, in WaKeeney, Ks..

She was born Dec. 1, 1929, in rural St. Peter to Joseph J. and Katherine (Richmeier) Appelhans.

She married Albert J. Dinkel on Sept. 25, 1951, in St. Peter. He preceded her in death May 14, 1985. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Robert "Bob" Dinkel and wife, Marsha, and Dale Dinkel; two daughters, Diana Smith, and Paula Halvorson and husband, Bruce; four sisters, Eleanor Dinkel, Rosie Heier and Louella Zerr, and Sister Gilberta "Martina" Appelhans; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, St. Peter.
