Alvin Denk, 68, Hill City, died Sunday, March 11, 2007, at his home. He was born April 2, 1938, in rural Gove County to John and Amelia (Pfeifer) Denk. He married Alice White on Oct. 10, 1959, in Hill City. He was a businessman and county commissioner since 1988. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, John Denk, Lindsborg, and James "Jim" Denk, Matthews, N.C.; five sisters, Wilma McFadden, Salina, Pauline Barley, Colorado Springs, Colo., Bernice Grantham, Shreiveport, La, Louise Whitehead, Atlanta, and Mary Wells, Plano, Texas; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hill City

Burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Hill City.
