Mayme Ethel FRANZ, 90, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2000, at the Dawson Place Nursing Home in Hill City, Kansas.
Mayme was born on July 19, 1910, at Plato, Missouri, the daughter of Jacob Calvin and Melissa Viola (BURRIS) HUTSELL. A homemaker, she was a longtime area resident. Mayme married William M. FRANZ on August 19, 1927 in Shidler, Oklahoma. He died in 1971. Mrs. FRANZ was a member of the Hill City First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include a son, George W. FRANZ, Littleton, Colorado; two daughters, Dorothy GOFFINSKI and Melissa Jane SCOTT, both of Hill City; twenty-three grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. FRANZ was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, four sisters, three children; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 21, 2000, at 1:00 p.m. at the Spencer Chapel in Hill City, Kansas with Pastor Steve FULKS officiating. Burial was on Friday, September 22, 2000 in the Littleton Cemetery in Littleton, Colorado.
