VETERAN WWII NAVY, Served on the USS NEW MEXICO

Elton Conrad Getz, 87, Hutchinson, formerly of Tasco, died Monday, July 30, 2007, at Wesley Towers Thorne Care Center. He was born Sept. 10, 1919, in Studley to Conrad Harmon and Lola Hazel (Cunningham) Getz. He was a 1932 graduate of Hoxie. He married Etta LoRene Teel on March 4, 1949, in Hoxie. She preceded him in death Dec. 8, 2005. He worked for his uncle Ervin's General Merchandise Store as early as age 5.
Survivors include a son Kerry Getz, a sister, Vida Hill, two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Burial was in The Fairlawn Burial Park.
