Born in Graham County, near Hill City. Married Harlian C. Meyer in Fort Ord, Calif. on 5-19-1942. He preceded her in death in 1998. Survivors include three daughters, Melissa Nelson, Mary Jane Meyer, & Emily Jackson, two sons, Jack & Jonathan Meyers, 15 grandchildren, & 4 great-grandchildren.
