Ivan Scott, 84, of Hill City, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at the Graham County Hospital in Hill City. He was born August 14, 1915 in rural Graham County, Kansas, the son of Albert and Effie SCOTT. A lifetime resident of this area, Ivan was a farmer and served as the caretaker for the Hill City cemeteries for many, many years.
He married Leona "Sis" MAUCK on September 11, 1934 in WaKeeney, Kansas, and she died on November 14, 1988. He was a member of the Hill City Presbyterian Church. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five brothers, and one sister. He is survived by nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials were suggested to the Hill City Presbyterian Church.
