Goodbye, Ted Harris KansasGenWeb Logousgenweb.gif

Goodbye,
Ted
Harris

Lincoln Beacon, March 12, 1896
We looked over the battle field and found, tightly clutched in the hand of a dying Lincoln girl, a copy of the Kansas City Star, containing the following item:

Ted Harris
Among the names on yesterday’s register at the Coates House we noticed the name of V.C. (Ted) Harris, of Lincoln, Kan. Mr. Harris is on his way east to join the League at Boston and will play in the seaboard cities during the coming season. It is said that he is escaping from the too lavish attentions of the Lincoln girls and is fleeing to the seashore, where he fondly hopes to pitch his beloved curveballs in peace.
