Worked in the Peabody oil fields with Carter Oil Company. His wife, Myrtle, died at age 28 in 1920 and is buried in Burns, Kansas. H. RANDOLPH on 1 October 1888 in Marion, Marion County, Kansas. They apparently had a daughter, whose name I haven't found yet. Sarah was previously married to Beniah Nelson WHITE on 7 February 1867 in Osage, Henry County, Missouri. Beniah WHITE died 27 December 1883 in Neosho, Newton County, Missouri of hydrophobia. Sarah and Beniah had 5 children: Charles S.; Elizabeth; John Henry; Laura Lovina; and Lonie May. Laura married Mr. FORTH in Marion County, Kansas on 13 September 1893. I am trying to find out if Hiram VANPELT was their son. Hiram died in Beloit, Kansas. In an 1880 census from Beloit, there is a James and Margaret VANPELT living there at the time. According to research, James and Margaret moved to Marion, Kansas where they both died and were buried. I'm wondering if anyone has access to old newspapers that might have the obituary. I have a Martha G. (surname unknown) who was born 22 July 1896 and died 29 March 1976. Her first marriage was to a THOMAS, (given name unknown); they had the following children: Kenneth THOMAS, 1917-1997; Orville THOMAS, 1913-1979; Josephine THOMAS, 1915-1996. Martha G. married 2nd husband, Andrew A. MURRY in 1919 and they had 3 daughters and 1 son. Part of these children were born in Peabody, Kansas, before they moved to Haven and Hutchinson, Reno County, Kansas. Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. ------------------------------------------- FUNK...FENSKE/FENSKY...PENNER...DALKE Kathy Sperling (ksperling@juno.com) 23 July 2000 I am looking for information on ancestors and descendants of Julianna FENSKE/FENSKY, who died in 1871 and Peter FUNK, died age 84 in Russia. Some of their children came to the Marion County area around 1884. Their daughter, Wilhemina (Minnie) FUNK married Abraham A. PENNER, (my Great-Grandparents). Minnie and Abraham PENNER immigrated to Hillsboro in 1899 and lived in this area and Lehigh for 13 years or so. There were several siblings to Minnie; Heinrich, Peter, Anna, Sarah and a sister named Katharina FUNK, b: 1844 who married Jacob J. DUERKSEN, b: 1863 of Hillsboro. I also understand there was a half sister in North Dakota. I would like information on these siblings. (Additional Information!) I have found that Peter FUNK did not die in Russia, but migrated to Marion County, Kansas in 1877 with his second wife, Maria (BLAZER) DALKE and several step-children: Gerhard, David, Marie, Peter, Isaac and Bernhard DALKE and Helene FUNK.
