I would also like to know more about the cemetery at the Catlin Church near Peabody, Kansas, where I believe they are buried. He was a bishop with the Mennonites. Benjamin F. HAMILTON was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, July 4, 1825 and died May 10, 1898. He grew to manhood in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and in 1843 went to Medina County, Ohio. On December 30, 1845 he married Elizabeth NAHRGANG. He resided in Williams County, Ohio until 1865, when on account of his wife's failing health he moved to Owen County, Indiana where she died in 1866. To this union there were born five sons; Samuel Benjamin, Jr. Joseph David Unknown In 1866 he married Catharine HOLLEY. To this union there were born six sons and three daughters: Mary Ann William A. Elijah (Eli) John Henry Charles Ed. Louisa Margaret Nathaniel Ira Susan Elizabeth Edwin Arthur In 1869 he moved to Livingston County, Illinois where he served the church until 1883, when he moved to Cherokee County, Kansas; from there he came to Marion County, where he lived until his death. Any information would be greatly appreciated. --------------------------------------- CLARK sujodeli@aol.com 3 December 2003 NOTE: This email address is no longer valid I am looking for information on Leonard Emerson CLARK, born approximately 1905, married to Viola May. --------------------------------------- BEISEL Nick Venechuk (venechuk@chartermi.net) 1 December 2003 I am looking for any relatives of George and Katherine BEISEL of Tampa, Kansas. They lived there (or in the surrounding area) from approximately 1900 to 1917, and seven of their nine children were born there. My Grandmother, Rachel BEISEL, was born in 1905. If and family is still in the area, I would appreciate hearing from you. --------------------------------------- RICHMOND...KREUTZIGER MADSEN...WILBER...McCLUGGAGE Janet Angell (angellj@yahoo.com) 24 October 2003 Whatever you have for all except the RICHMONDs. My Grandfather still lives there and I have most of the RICHMONDs back to the 1600s. --------------------------------------- WILLOUGHBY Marcia Dumler (mdumler_66073@yahoo.com) 17 October 2003 My Grandparents, John and Emma WILLOUGHBY were lifelong residents of Peabody. They died in the early 50s and are in a local cemetery. I would like information on the Peabody Historical Society as I have old picture to donate. --------------------------------------- WILLIBEY...BRANDON PARKINSON...BROCK Guy Willibey (gwillibey@aol.com) 14 October 2003 Searching for information on my family lineage. The WILLIBEY, BRANDON, PARKINSON, AND BROCK families from the 1800's. --------------------------------------- WEIS Shirley King (yentoi@aol.com) 12 October 2003 I am inquiring about a family listed in the 1880 Marion County census records as Deidrich and Anna Elizabeth WEIS. At that time there were five WEIS children, plus a stepson listed as 12 year old Harry Miguel. (Later, their last child was born in 1883) Harry's last name doesn't exactly sound Russian, and the family immigrated from the Volga Region of Russia, so I'm thinking the spelling is incorrect. Any suggestions of what it could be? One of their children, Emanuel, was born in 1879 and according to our family information, he was orphaned at the age of nine, which would be approximately 1888. Emanuel is my Grandfather, and he moved to Oklahoma at probably the age of 15 or so. Our family has no record of Deidrich and Anna Elizabeth WEIS' deaths or where they are buried. I would like to locate these records so how do I go about it? Since the oldest child (Anna Elizabeth "Lizzie") was 16 and the youngest was about 4 when the parents died, our family wonders who became the head of the household? This mysterious stepson (apparently the son of Anna Elizabeth from a previous marriage in Russia) would have been 21 years old, perhaps he took care of the WEIS children? I am really eager to locate this information, unfortunately all the relatives whom we could ask have also passed away. --------------------------------------- STABEL Carol Stabel (cjstabel@hotmail.com) 9 October 2003 I am interested in finding any immigration/relocation/residency/vital records on the Henry STABEL family. Henry and Anna STABEL lived in Stephan (Vodyanoi, Burerak, Russia, before migrating to Lehigh, Kansas area in 1891. Children born to them were: Fred STABEL George STABEL Henry STABEL Alma STABEL Frieda STABEL Lillie STABEL Emma STABEL Mary STABEL As far as I know all were born in Marion County, Kansas. The following may be extraneous information, but I included it in the event it can be helpful. A baptismal certificate of Fred STABEL, son of Henry and Anna STABEL, from an unnamed Lutheran church in Lehigh or Marion County, mentions the presiding minister as Pastor Carl JAEKEL (possibly JACKEL), dated January 1898. Fred was born September 29, 1897 in Lehigh, Marion County, Kansas. Fred died July 29, 1969 and is buried in a cemetery in Darrouzett, Texas. Moved To Shattuck, Ellis County, Oklahoma in 1901. Moved to Lipscomb County, Texas in 1912 Were charter members of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lipscomb, Texas 1915. (church merged with St. Paul's Lutheran, Darrouzett, Texas in 1961), Henry died March 31, 1945 and is buried at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, east of Lipscomb, Texas --------------------------------------- COLLIER Donna Dietrich (dietrich@aol.com) 8 October 2003 I am looking to confirm a birth and death date of William COLLIER who is buried in the Highland Cemetery at Marion, County, Kansas. I have in my records that he was born 11 February 1894. I am trying to purchase a tombstone for his brother John Jackson COLLIER, but my records show there could possibly be an error on William. Or maybe JJ. If I could confirm William's dates it would be just great! --------------------------------------- MACK Gene Sickler (gsickl@aol.com) 5 October 2003 My Great-Grandmother was Cornelia MACK. The spelling may even be BOLAN/BOLIN. Great-Grandfather's name was possibly Mark, or maybe Claude or Clyde. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, and died by a train accident in 1904-1906? His wife was Hadie, they had a son, believed to be Claude or Clyde and some say he was a Junior, born sometime in the late 1890's. Daughter, Annie was born possibly 1901-1902, daughter, Leona was born 1904 (my Grandmother), and two infant twin daughters, unknown birth dates. The three oldest were adopted out after their father died. My Grandmother, Leona was adopted by Jacob and Susanna WEIBE in Lehigh, Kansas. Annie was adopted to the SCHROEDER family in Buhler, and married D. REGIER and had 3 children; Mildred, Harlow, and Twilah. Hadie died in the mid 1940's. Believe she may have been living in Brandsville, Missouri at the time of her death, and remarried. She may have been in her early twenties when her first husband died. I would like to find out as much as I can on Hadie, my Great-Grandfather and their children. Anyone with any information or possible data, please contact me. --------------------------------------- COFFMAN nanasstuff@aol.com 28 August 2003 Looking for infoamrtion on Minnie COFFMAN who was a nurse in Lost Springs in the 1930 census.
