Moews was my mother's maiden name. Parents were Frank and Mary. They lived on a farm in Paola. Maternal relations are Readecker and Brannon, respectively (I think). Would be curious of any info regarding birth/death of a daughter born to Roy Baker and Nora (Brannon) Baker of Osawatomie in early 1900's (before 1927). Burial is in Osawatomie cemetery and may have proximity to Roy Baker buried there in 1960's. Roy is my gfather.
In Family Histories and Stories, p. 270-271, Jacob J. Moews and Maria Gropmeier Moews had nine children. Two sons mentioned Albert John (born Bloomington, Illinois, 11 May 1885) and Frank. The family moved to the Burlington-Westphalia, Kansas area in 1904. About 1909, they moved to Paola, KS, and lived on a farm on the east edge of Paola. This farm was later owned by Frank Moews. There is nothing further about Jacob, his wife, son Frank or the 7 unnamed children. All the remaining information is about Albert John Moews and his descendents.
