Query: I am looking for the death date of Anna Wells Husted. Her husband William Husted died 19 June 1956 in Wadsworth VA hospital and is burried in Osawatomie cemetery. There are several Husted listings in Vol III, pp 244 and 260, could you please check and see if any of them are the children of William and Anna Husted? Also there is a Elsie I. Wells in vol 2 page 121 who may be a sister of Anna.

Query: Cemeteries of Miami County, Kansas, Vol. III, Pages 638 and 687. Looking for first wife of William Thompson, who died probably between 1866 and 1868. William married Elizabeth Lieper, a widow, in Franklin County in 1868 so his first wife's death occurred before that date and after the birth of her last child in 1866. Willaim died according to family stories when his horses ran from a train and turned over his buggy probably before 1890. William was a blacksmith living in Mound Township in 1870. Had a son named Charles who apparently died about the same time.

Query: Robert Fuller married Louise Redd in Miami County, January 31, 1856. Louise was a Cherokee Indian. They are my g-grandparents and I am searching for any information on them.

Query: My daughter has just purchased a house in Miami County. It is well over a hundred years old and is in need of loving care. She has begun to find out something of its origins.
Its first owner of the house was William M Stevens of Kentucky received a land grant for property in Miami county, possibly because of service in the Blackwar War. The grant was recorded 21 Sept 1860. Subsequently recorded in Miami County on 25 Mar 1895. The property is not located in a town. The previous owner of the property was widow of Oh-Kaw-Pe-Kiew.
I have been able to locate the following: The 1867 Miami County Census shows a Wm. Stevens in Osawatomie Twp. (pages 11 - 12). The 1870 Fed Census Index for Kansas shows Wm L Stephens in Osawatomie Twp (page 451).
I would like to talk to anyone who has record of this gentleman and of his home and property.

Query: I am looking for any information about the WARD family in Miami County. Sketchy info I have suggests Jonathan, Elizabeth (man and wife?) were in Miami Co in 1870, as were John, Texana, and James. Benjamin H.
