I am really interested in the James C or G Heath who appears on the l875 Miami Co., state census. He was 68, l807 born in Ohio, Julia age 20 born in l855 in Ind.and Timothy Heath age 5 months born in Kansas. Is she his wife?

In l876, Julia married Truman Sovern in Bates Co., MO.

No l880.

l890 Truman is in Greene Co., MO.

1892 Charles T. Heath married Lydia C. Smithton in Greene Co., MO. Truman signed as guardian and stepfather, as Charles is not of age. Gives location as both of Lawrence Co., MO.

1900 Stone Co., MO. Truman, Julia and Charles T. Heath ( he is single)

1917- 1918 Draft registration in Greenwood Co., KS. He gives nearest relative as sister Lillie May (Sovern) Wygle. Says he has lost his right leg and works for Greenwood school district at Virgil.

1910 Truman has a different wife. Still in Stone Co. Truman and Annie C sells his land in 1913 and dissapears. He is a Civil War Veteran and receives a pension.

Truman is suppose to be Lillie's father but at the time of her birth, he was still married to Julia. No connection to a Florence McPeck of Linn Co., KS.

James evidently had another son who lived next door, James E. and Elizabeth had 2 children. One is Orlando Benjamin or sometimes Benjamin Orlando. Benjamin goes to Oklahoma, then returned to Miami Co.

Oral was married to a cousin of my father, Sophronia (Curtiss) Swearingen, but I found no reference to her name in the index. She apparently died before Oral since I have seen a copy of Oral's obituary and it only shows survivors as his mother and two children.Oral died in Cleveland, Ohio but is buried in Paola per his obituary. Query Surnames: Clark

Date: 6 March 2008

Query: I am trying to find some information on my great-great grandfather, Judge John T Clark. He lived in Portage and Madison WI for many years, but died in Richland KS. I am not sure if it was Miami County or Shawnee County, so am posting queries to both. We do not know why he was in Kansas...part of the mystery.

The information I have is an article from the Wisconsin State Register, November 10, 1888 that reported about his funeral. We do not have an exact date of death.

What I am trying to find, primarily, is his death information, obituary etc. Any information to give me a clue as to why he was in Richland and if his wife, Louise, was with him would be a huge bonus.

Sure hope someone is able to either help me out or give me some leads on where to look.
