GOODMAN I am trying to locate information on Goodman/Goodmon
family names in the Caney KS area. I believe they are cousins to my line
in Montana and am trying to tie the loose ends together. Most recently

GREENLEAF, Sarah Jane (Culver) My G-Grandmother.
I have been trying to trace this ancestor and have come up with little
or nothing. I don't know who to write or contact to find out anything about
her. Her name was Sarah Jane Greenleaf, her maiden name was Culver. She
was married to Levi Kelly Greenleaf, and they lived in Elk City, Montgomery
Co., Ks. . She died prior to 1918, when Levi died. They had several children
one of which was Eva A. Greenleaf. She was born in 1871. Can you point
me in the right direction? I have been trying to find her for nearly a
year with no results. I would like to know where she was born, and the
name of her parents, or at least one of her parents. Any help would certainly

HAYDEN I am researching my ancestors that lived in Caney, Kansas in the late 1800's. My grandfather, George Bradley Hayden is reported to have been born in Caney, Kansas on 12/9/1893. His father was William Henry Hayden, born in Iowa? on 3/19/1853. Died 9/7/1896 in Ind. Terr. or Caney, Kansas. Would like to know where he is buried and exact dates. Married Henrietta Hopson in Adams County, IL. on 3/15/1974. She was born 1/5/1858? She remarried and was known in western Kansas - eastern Colorado as "Grandma Deal". KEEL Searching for Thomas Carter KEEL, b Jan 13, 1881, Independence, KS, d Nov 20, 1918, Hillsboro, IL. KING, Joseph F., of Montgomery county. Married Catherine Ferrell LEWELLEN in 1842. Was in the Civil War and according to an article dated 9/1/1888 in the Witchita Eagle, he was a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient as a result of the Big Shanty locomotive raid. LASHBAUGH, LUSHBAUGH I am looking for info on my gggrandmother, Anna M. Lushbaugh. she is listed in the Montgomery Co. 1880 census as "Anny Loshbaugh, Vol. 13, ed 157, Sheet 25 line 21. Her age is listed as 80. She is living with her son Francis Marion and his family. From there we lose track of her. She may be buried in KS. any info on her or her kin would be greatly appreciated. LATTIMORE, Need death dates, burial location and first names of any LATTIMORE children who died in Montgomery Co during 1870's or 1880s. Parents, William and Laura LATTIMORE migrated from Indiana to Kansas ca. 1870, returning in late 1870s. While there, one son, one daughter died. Another daughter married a Thomas COLE. Do not have first names of children. Would appreciate any details of Lattimore children who died during 1870s and 1880s as well as marriage of a Thomas COLE to a female LATTIMORE during 1870s or 1880s. Virena Thurman; .(4) Barbary Layman, b: Abt. 1826; (5) Asa Layman b: August 04, 1831 in Sevier Co., TN; d: June 23, 1923 in Lucas KS. Asa m. Margaret; (6) William Vineyard Layman, b: February 24, 1835 in TN. d: November 06, 1913 in Jefferson Co., TN, m. Mary Ann Keeler; (7) Adeline Layman, b: June 05, 1830. LOOMIS, Russell and Rebecca (Green) of Liberty, Montgomery Co, KS. Researching genealogy. Russell was a Civil War veteran and was born in 1840 in Hocking Co, OH. He came to Liberty about 1895. He died there in 1913.Rebecca died there in 1934. They had two children, Schuyler and Maggie. Maggie married Daniel BEAIR of Liberty and they had a son, Russell and daughter, Nellie.
