COUNCIL GROVE REPUBLICAN, 15 December 1929
Obituary of CLETYS LORETTA (FUNK) THOMAS
Cletys Loretta Funk was born at Hymer, Kansas, May 20 1900, and departed this life December 15, 1929 at the age of 29 years, 6 months and 25 days.

She was married in 1918 to Preston Thomas of Dunlap. To this union were born two children, Wynn and Pauline. Besides her husband and children, she leaves her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Funk; one brother, Streeter Funk, and one sister, Mrs. Robert Burton of Alta Vista.

Mrs. Thomas was a loving and devoted wife and mother, a most generous and helpful neighbor, of a sunny and cheerful disposition, ready and willing to
accept her share of life's joys and sorrows with true Christian fortitude.

Besides her immediate family, she leaves a number of other relatives and a host of friends to mourn their loss.
