Henry Holland HEDGPETH, minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, who spent time in Council Grove, Morris County, Kansas in the fall of 1866 and early 1867 assisting Rev. William BRADFORD with some meetings for the M. E. Church South. Rev. HEDGPETH may also have been in Council Grove at an earlier time working for the church. Very much need to know if Rev. ROUSSELLOT, b: August 4, 1870, South Kentucky, d: December 15, 1943 Osawatomie, Miami County, Kansas. John McCULLOUGH, b: January 1851 and d: July 10, 1921 Carrie ROUSSELLOT married William Henderson GRAVES on April 23, 1889 in Council Grove, Kansas. William died in 1902 and Carrie later remarried John McCULLOUGH. Carrie and William are buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Council Grove. The only information I have on the ancestry of Wm. GRAVES is that his father's name is J. W. GRAVES. ZIES is shown as working for the railroad in 1900 and 1910 and living in Valley Township, Dunlap City, Morris County, Kansas. His son, Clark is shown to be a fireman for the railroad in the 1920 census, and living in Pratt, Pratt County, Kansas. I would imagine that they both worked for the same railroad. The census place is listed as Valley, Morris, Kansas. In 1860, he was still living in his home state of Ohio. I can't find him in 1870 and under Morris County, the only townships listed are Clarks Creek, Council Grove, and Neosho. What happened to the rest of Morris County in the 1870 census? I am doing this research on Genealogy.com's census pages.
