CONVERSE, daughter, b: ca. 1911 This family lived on a farm in Canville Township, near Earlton. From the information in the 1930 census, the farm was valued at nearly $20,000. Would it be possible to get an obituary for the father, John Y. (Young) CONVERSE, who died 23 August 1936, and is buried in the Elmwood Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas. This should give us some information concerning the whereabouts of his wife and children. We know that daughter, Lena (married name not known, and not known if she was married), apparently she had access to a family bible as she sent detailed information about the CONVERSE and YOUNG families to cousins in Iowa. This was 20 or 30 years ago, and her address at that time was Earlton, Kansas. We do not know the names of the spouses of any of the 4 children. We have a great deal of information about both the YOUNG and CONVERSE families -- Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York -- and the family of John Y. CONVERSE was lost to us until recently. We are very anxious to locate descendants of this family, we'd like to share or exchange information. ----------------------------------- HOLLOWAY...SIEBERT...ALDRIDGE Marion McLaughlin (mclaughlin67@msn.com) 15 August 2003 Searching for William Green HOLLOWAY, W.
