JAMES A. LAMBERT DEAD

Neosho Rapids, March 1 – James Andrew Lambert, of Neosho Rapids, died at his home this morning at 2:55 o’clock. Mr. Lambert, who was a farmer, was born September 29, 1867, in Cannon county, Tenn. He was a son of the late John Lambert and Derry Berry (sic - Martha Derryberry intended) Lambert.

Funeral services will beheld Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at the home in Neosho Rapids. Another service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at the J. D. Rhuland funeral home in Columbus, Kan. Burial will be in the Columbus cemetery. The casket will be open at the Roberts-Blue funeral home in Emporia from 7:30 to 9 o’clock, Tuesday evening.

Mr. Lambert came to Neosho Rapids in 1921, and was married to Sophia tanner in Columbus, in September 1893. He is survived by his wife, of the home; two sons, Leo Lambert and Frank (sic–Francis intended) Lambert, both of Neosho Rapids; and one daughter, Mrs. Iva Bollinger, of Baton Rouge, La. Two sons died during the first World war. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Lester Jernigan, of Osage City, and by one granddaughter and five grandsons.
