Funeral Services-----Martha Lambert

Died, Thursday evening at 5:40, Sept. 28, 1916, Born, June 15,
1837, in Cannon County, Tenn.
Age 79 years, 3 months, 10 days. Funeral services will be held
at Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jeringan's, Monday, Oct. 2, 1916 at 2 p.m.
Will be buried in North Cemetery.

Friends of the family invited.

OBITUARY

LAMBERT–Martha Elperlee Lambert was born in Cannon county, Tennessee, June 15, 1837. Died at the home of her nephew, W. P. Bush, Cherokee county, Kansas, September 28, 1916, at 5:40 p.m., aged 79 years, three months and 13 days.

She was united in marriage to John Lambert in Cannon county, Tenn., in 1855. To this union 7 children were born, two of whom with her husband have preceded her to the other world.

She removed in Kansas with her family and settled in Osage county in 1870, where she has since made her home.

She was converted and united with the Methodist Episcopal church in her childhood and remained a faithful member until her death, being a member of the First M. E. church of Osage City, Kansas, at the time of her death.

She leaves to mourn her death two sons, C. N. Lambert, Osage City, Kansas, and J. A. Lambert of Parsons, Kansas; three daughters, Mrs. Dollie Tanner, Columbus, Kansas, Mrs. Susie Tanner, Columbus, Kansas, and Mrs. Hattie Jernigan of Osage City, Kan. A sister Nerciss Burkett, Burlingame, Kan., several grandchildren and a number of other relatives and a large number of friends.

With the Apostle Paul, she could say: "I know in whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is - able - to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day."
