William E. Limbocker and his wife Hannah E.Carson(my3ggparents) came to Ottawa Co. in 1882 or before. From a newspaper clipping from Barton Co. KS. dated Jan. 08,1883, the following story unfolds. Two families who former aquaintances of the Limbocker's while they lived in Barton Co. had arrived abt. Dec.01,1882. They had been exposed to smallpox and while looking for a house, they stayed with the Limbocker family. Subsequently, the Limbocker family became exposed and the whole family except for one son,Gary, died. Hannah's father was M.M. Carson, of whom I know nothing about. I would dearly love to know more abt. this family and the Carson line!! S.M.

I'm looking for information on my father and also for a half sister that I have somewhere. My fathers name was Alva M Palmer born June 20th 1916 in Kansas. He had four sisters Gladis,Della, Edna, and Lena. I understand that his sisters all lived in or around Harrisonville. Gladis was married to a York and had a son named Junior. Della married a Cheesbro. My father had two children before my mother and he were married. There names were Buddy and Jeannie. Buddy died of cancer somewhere possible in Florida. Buddy had a wife named Edna. My father whom I didn't get the chance to meet died Aug 6th 1984 in Washington. He had myself and a brother born to Dorothy(our mother)in Aberdeen, Washington. Searching for information on a John Burkholder who was a brother of an Isaac K. Burkholder. Both were to have been born in Rockingham county in Virginia. John was to have traveled to Kansas on or about 1858-60 from Boone, Iowa. They traveled from Knox county Ohio to Washington county Iowa then west. I am trying to find any information regarding Howard Glenn Morris, JR. His father, Howard Glenn Morris, was born Feb 24, 1911 in Minneapolis, Ottawa County, KS. He married my grandmother, Ruby Slaven, and had two daughters: Gail, b. 1935, and Janet, b. 1938. My grandparents later divorced and Howard remarried and had a son, Howard Glenn, Jr. Howard, Sr. was killed in a fall June 10, 1949 in Peabody, Marion Co., KS and is buried in Minneapolis, KS.
