Obituary of HERMAN NORBY

Mr. Herman Norby, of Garfield, was drowned in Coon creek, one mile west of that place, at noon on Wednesday, the 10th. He was working on the section, and as the day was very hot he took a bath at the railroad bridge. He was taken with cramps and sunk before he could be rescued by Mr. James Prather who was bathing with him. Mr. Norby came to Garfield but a short time ago with his father-in-law, Mr. Lewis Peterson. He was a good citizen and leaves a wife and three children in Sweden.
