THE LARNED CHRONOSCOPE, 10 October 1907
Obituary of LAURA MUNDY
Died From Terrible Burns

Miss Laura Mundy, who was so frightfully burned by a kerosene explosion two weeks ago, died as the result of her injuries at Larned hospital Wednesday night at 11 o’clock.

The accident which was chronicled in this paper last week occurred south of the river. The injured lady was brought to Lawn Cottage and there taken care of by a trained nurse until last Wednesday, when she was removed to Larned hospital.

Her worst burns were about the neck, chest and arms. She seemed to realize the seriousness of her injuries, because she said to her uncle as he helped to carry her into the hospital that they would soon carry her out again.

Laura Mundy was the second child of Mr. and Mrs. E. Mundy, and was 22 years of age. The funeral services were held this afternoon at 2:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mart Davis.
