Obituary of MARY A. (McCULLOUGH) SMITH |
Death of Mrs. L. S. Smith Mary A. McCullough was born in New York in the year 1840, and died at her home in Larned Saturday evening February 23rd, 1907, at the age of 67 years, 11 months, and 8 days. She was married to Lewis S. Smith at Peoria, Illinois, July 1864, and came to Pawnee county, Kansas, in 1879 with her husband and children, and lived here continuously the remainder of her life. She united with the Christian church at Larned in 1892.
She was the mother of three children, one of whom died at
the age of four. The other two children are living, Mrs. John Sears of
Larned, and Silas F. Smith of Ford county, both of whom were with their
mother in her last illness. Her husband also survives her. |
