A picture of Harriet Applegate Reeder's homestead land on Elm Creek. She came to Rooks County in 1878 from Warrenton, Warren Co. MO, where her husband Jacob William Reeder had died in 1874.  Her son Thomas Taylor Reeder was already homesteading in Rooks Co. and she came with her children in two wagons:  Addie Cynthia; Jesse; Hudson Guy; Scott Winfield; Sherman Demitt; and Sallie Louella.

Hudson Guy and Anna Bell Sears Reeder headstone in the Stockton Cemetery. (If someone has a better picture, I would appreciate a copy of it to replace this one.)  Thomas Taylor Reeder came first to homestead in Rooks County and built a home out of native stone.  It is now covered with stucco.  You can see the storm cellar in front.  Thomas and his wife Florence Conklin and their seven children left Rooks County before April 1892.  Their eight child Wallace was born in April 1892 in Lincoln County, Oregon.  Abraham and Sallie Louella Reeder Schindler headstone in the Stockton Cemetery.  Hattie F. Schindler headstone in the Twin Mound Cemetery, the daughter of Abraham and Sallie.  Addie Cynthia Reeder Feleay and Joseph Feleay headstones in the Stockton Cemetery along with their grandson, Max Feleay.  Lula Paine Hall Reeder Vanhorn headstone and the headstone of Sherman D. Reeder her 1st husband..  They also homesteaded down on Elm Creek.  Howard B. Vanhorn headstone in the Stockton Cemetery, he married Lula Paine Hall Reeder after Sherman died.  The headstone of Sherman Reeder will shortly have the death year corrected to read 1898.  The headstone of Scott W. Reeder and wife Louisa Pulley in the Stockton Cemetery.  This is a picture of their homestead land down on Elm Creek.  This is a picture of the June 2004 Reunion tour stopped at Scott Reeder's homestead.  Their daughter Winifred Reeder Stevens is also buried in the Stockton Cemetery.  She married A. E. Stevens headstone in the Stockton Cemetery.

Elmer N. Stevens headstone in the Stockton Cemetery.   He was married to Dora Turner, they had four children:  Edith; Arthur; Alvin; and Freida.

Forest Dale Vanhorn headstone in the Stockton Cemetery.  He was the son of Howard B. Vanhorn and Lula Paine Hall.

Maude Coldiron and 2nd husband George Schulke Headstone in Naponee Cemetery, Franklin Co., Nebraska.  Maude was the daughter of John G. and Nancy A. Barnes Coldiron.  The headstone of Ray Hopkins, he was the 1st husband of Maude Coldiron.  Reed Hopkins their son still lives in Woodston, KS.  Ray is also buried in the Naponee Cemetery.

John Gilbert Coldiron headstone in the Stockton Cemetery.  He was married to Nancy Alice Barnes who went to Idaho to homestead after his death and she is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Bonneville County, Idaho.  The Twin Mound Cemetery on land donated by John G. and Nancy A. Mary Ruth Hazen Young headstone in the Stockton Cemetery.  She was the daughter of Ira Hazen and Minnie Reeder.

Melvin and Maisie Reeder headstone in the Stockton Cemetery.  Maisie is still alive and lives in Colorado.  Melvin was the son of Scott and Louisa Reeder.

This is a very large oval convex picture of Nancy Alice Barnes and husband John Gilbert Coldiron.  Their grandson, Reed Hopkins,  has the picture in Woodston, Kansas.  The headstone of Neva and Vernie May Coldiron, children of Nancy A. and John G. Coldiron.  They are buried in the Twin Mound Cemetery.  The headstone of Ray and Edna Coldiron Reeder.  Ray was born in Rooks Co. to Sherman and Lula Reeder and Edna in Cherokee Co. KS to Nancy and John Coldiron.  They married 27 Oct 1909 in Stockton, KS.  They are buried in the Naponee Cemetery, Franklin Co. NE.  Kenneth Dale Reeder headstone also buried in the Naponee Cemetery.  He was born in Rooks County on 24 May 1910 to Ray and Edna Coldiron Reeder.  His birth announcement appeared in the Rooks County Review.

This is a picture of Kenneth Dean Reeder of ID (grandson of Ray and Edna Reeder) and son William Yale Reeder of UT , Elwyn Simons of NC, and Bob Rader of VA taken at the Reeder, Coldiron and Related families reunion in June 2004 in Stockton KS.  William Yale Reeder matched on a DNA test to Bob Rader's father Dr. William Rader of VA through Family Tree DNA.  Elwyn Simons is the descendant of George Washington Reeder, whose brother Jacob William Reeder is the ancestor of William Yale Reeder.

This is a picture taken along Elm Creek of the homestead land of Samuel David Hall and wife Sarah Susan Coldiron.  Sarah Susan was a sister to John Gilbert Coldiron.  The windmill is believed to be original.  The headstone of Sarah Susan Coldiron Hall in the Stockton Cemetery.  Her husband Samuel David Hall is believed to be buried in the Twin Mound Cemetery but no headstone exists.  Their son William F. Hall and wife Honora G. Russ are also buried in the Stockton Cemetery.  Hiram and Wren Hall Denio Headstone in the Survey Cemetery.  Wren was the daughter of  William F. and Honora Russ Hall.

William Henry and Beatrice Potter Coldiron also came to Elm Creek to homestead.  They are both buried in the Stockton Cemetery.  The John G. Coldiron land on Elm Creek purchased from his brother William H. Coldiron.
