WICHITAN DIES
IN OKLAHOMA

A former resident here for a number of years, Ivan Appleby, 46, Kansas City, Mo., died Tuesday after a short illness in Ponca City, Okla.
Mr. Appleby, a traveling salesman for the Morgan Lumber Company of Oklahoma City, was covering his territory when he became ill. He had formerly been with the Wichita Sash and Door Company while here and was president of the firm for a time after the death of his father.
The body will be brought to Wichita for funeral services from the Downing Mortuary at 2:30 p. m. Thursday. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Appleby is survived by his wife, Harriett Beatrice; a son, Leon Vernon, at home; his step-mother, Mrs. Clara Appleby and three brothers, Lance E., Veve G., and Clarence V., all of Wichita.
