DIES IN HOSPITAL HERE

Richard Augustus Byrd of Yates Center died in a local hospital Wednesday. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the A. F. and A. M. of Gridley, Kan., the Shrine at Pittsburg, Kan. and the Order of the Eastern Star at Yates Center. Survivors include his wife, Ethel, and a daughter, Mrs. James R. Riley of Yates Center; a son, Lieut. Richard C. Byrd, USMC, in California; five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Kimbley, Mrs. Maggie Coke and Mrs. Ruby Huffman, all of Bartlesville, Okla., Mrs. Maude Morrison, Dewey, Okla., and Mrs. Ruth McClow, Chicago, and a brother, L. M. Byrd, Bartlesville. Funeral services will be held from the Johnson funeral home at Yates Center, with burial in the Yates Center cemetery. Culbertson mortuary is in charge locally.
