DEATH TAKES PIONEER
Mrs. Elizabeth Pray, a Wichitan 32
Years, Dies Here on Saturday

Mrs. Elizabeth Pray, pioneer Kansan and resident of Wichita the past 32 years, died in a local hospital yesterday. Mrs. Pray came to Kansas in 1871 and settled on a farm eight miles east of Wichita. In 1909 she moved into the city to the site of her home at the time of her death, 704 Pattie. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Mrs. Pray Is survived by three daughters, Miss Olive Pray 442 South Roosevelt; Mrs. Maude Means, Route four, Wichita; and Mrs. Bertha Smithhisler, San Juan, Tex.; three sons, Elmer, Route five; Lee, Route four; Marion J., 1911 Laura; one brother, Charles Thomas, Toledo, Iowa; 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Downing mortuary.

Mrs. Elizabeth Pray, 86, of 704 Pattie, died in a local hospital Saturday. She came to Kansas in 1871, to a farm eight miles east of Wichita and in 1909 moved to Wichita. She was a member of the Seltzer Methodist Church. She leaves three daughters, Olive Pray, 442 South Roosevelt; Maude Means, R.F.D. No. 4 and Bertha Smithhisler, R.F.D. No. 4; three sons, Lee and Elmer of R.F.D. No.4 and Marion of 1911 Laura; 17 grandchildren, 33 great grand children, 7 great great grandchildren and a brother, Charles Thomas of Toledo, Ohio. Funeral services will be announced by the Downing Mortuary.

PRAY-Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Pray will be conducted from the Downing Mortuary at 2:30 p. m., Tuesday with Dr. Asa J. Ferry officiating. Pallbearers will be: Paul Austin, Lehman Pray. S. B. Robinson, Marvin Smith and Kenneth Richmond. Burial will be in Old Mission Mausoleum.
