RESIDENT HERE

37 YEARS DIES

Mrs. Lavina Schammerhorn, 78, a resident of Wichita for the past 37 years, died Tuesday at her home at 318 South Handley. She was born September 16, 1866, at La Grange, Ind., homesteading at Milton, Kas., soon after her marriage in 1887. She was a member of the West Side Christian Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. C. C. Mathews, 331 South Walnut, Mrs. V. F. Doherty, 327 South Walnut, Mrs. C. C. Wert, Anness, Kas., and Mrs. V. C. Holman, Joplin, Mo.; two sons, J. E. Schammerhorn, 817 Burton, and W. J. Schammerhorn, 2303 West Douglas; a sister, Mrs. Emma McCarthy, Madison, Wyo.; a brother, Arthur Warner, Tacoma, Wash.; 12 grand children and seven great-grand children.

Funeral services will be announced by the Culbertson Mortuary.
