Operator Dies
Jesse E. Thompson
Wichitan 30 Years
Jesse E. Thompson, 75, operator of Thompson’s Turkey Farm, died Friday morning at his home, 4260 N. Hillside.
Mr. Thompson was born Aug. 23, 1885, at Fairplay, Mo. He moved to Wichita from Hazelton, Kan., in 1909.
Early in the 1930’s, Mr. Thompson started Thompson’s Turkey Farm where he resided at the North Hillside address. The farm raises and processes turkeys.
Mr. Thompson also sold insurance for more than 40 years, and was on the board of directors of Great Plains Mutual Insurance Co. of Salina, Kan.
