Thecla Marie "Tillie" Albers, 91, Oakley, formerly of Grinnell, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Logan County Hospital. She was born June 14, 1916, in Sheridan County to Herman H. and Anna A. Von Lintel Robben. She married Martin B. Albers on Sept. 5, 1934, in Angelus. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1990. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Don Albers and wife, Ellen, two daughters, Carol Junk and husband, Paul, and Joyce Albers and husband, Jerry Mendelsohn, a sister, Eileen Shea, nine grandchildren, Michelle Haines, Michael Junk, Sarah Pearce, Thomas Ostmeyer and Elisha Ostmeyer, Anna Albers, Jamie Albers, Jonathan Mendelsohn, and Adam Mendelsohn, and nine great-grandchildren.
Her parents, a son, James Albers in 1940; three brothers, Otto Herman Robben, Lawrence Henry Robben, and Norbert Bruno Pete Robben; and three sisters, Walburga Thecla Robben Baalman, Lucy Lyoba Robben Ostmeyer and Leoba Agnes Robben Baalman, preceded her in death.
Burial in
St Paul's Cemetery, Angelus.
