Iveda Ruth Hoffeditz, 87, Hoxie, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born Jan. 13, 1921, in Oranoque to Orla and Nelle Ringgenberg McCabe.

She married William (Bill) Hoffeditz on June 6, 1966, in Las Vegas, N.M. She was a secretary for Bainter-Reichart Construction Co. and Gene Smercheck, attorney.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, John Courtney, and James Courtney, two daughters, Georgia Briery, and Mary Behan, seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Burial is in the Hoxie Cemetery, Sheridan County.
