Adam Haffner, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Sheridan County Hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1911, near Park, son of John and Frances (Lang) Haffner. He married Esther Schlick on Jan. 11, 1938, in Grainfield. They lived on their farm near Hoxie until their retirement in 1975, when they moved to Hoxie.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Tom and Ron, five daughters, Bernadine Rietcheck, Frances Sietkes, Alberta Szczukowski, Florence Dreiling, and Linda Crumwell, two brothers, Ray, and John, five sisters, Mary Rohling, Vera Schlick, Elizabeth Miller, Jennie Eberle, and Anna Albers, 21 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Burial in St. Frances Catholic Cemetery, Hoxie.
