Dorothy Ilene Karnes, 77, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at Central Kansas Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 16, 1926, in Studley, daughter of Oscar A. and Elma (Voyles) Karnes. She graduated from Sheridan Community High School, Hoxie, and earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Fort Hays State University. She taught at Lone Star and Bow Creek schools, Hoxie Grade School and Beloit and Otis-Bison elementary schools.
Survivors include three brothers, Frank, James, and Gerald.
Burial in Bow Creek Cemetery, Sheridan County
