The Life of Thomas F. Knopp Thomas F. Knopp, son of Anton and Susie Knopp was born May 5, 1885 near Bennett, Neb., and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oliver Lindeman, Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 11 a.m. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Sacred Heart Church, Selden. Burial was in the Selden Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Andrijeski, Fred and John Wachendorfer, Bernard Diederich and Carl and Edwin Mumm. Pauls Funeral Home was in charge.
He moved to a farm near Selden when a young man. On April 14, 1915 he was married to Julia Mumm. To this union were born four children, Vincent of Selden; Viola Lindeman, Menlo; Louise Schumacher, Hickman Mills, Mo.; and Clarence of Seattle, Wash.
He lived on his farm southeast of Selden until he retired about 10 years ago when he moved to Selden. His health has been poorly for the last five years. He was bedfast since November of last year. The last four months he spent at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Oliver Lindeman near Menlo under the loving care of his wife.
He is survived by his wife and four children; also four brothers, George of Selden; Louis of Lincoln, Neb.; Bernard and William of Bennett, Neb.; and two sisters, Anna Mumm of Seattle, Wash.; and Susie Helus of Phoenix, Ariz.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Knopp, Lincoln, Neb.; Bernard and William Knopp, Bennett, Neb.; Francis Knopp, Lincoln, Neb.; Arthur Knopp, Beatrice Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pick and Eileen; Mrs. Crescentia Andrijeski; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Andrijeski; all of McCook, Neb.; and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Diederich and Tommy of Jennings; Clarence Knopp, Seattle Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schumacher, Judy and Jerry from Hickman Mills, Mo.
