 U.S.  VETERAN WWII, NAVY:

Verlin Lee Miller, 90, Hoxie, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Sheridan County Hospital, Hoxie. He was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Morland to Jesse and Ola Mae Cressler Miller. He married Ina Richards on Sept. 18, 1938, in Hoxie. He worked for Kansas State Board of Agriculture for more than 20 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Ron Miller, and Ed Miller, a daughter, Shirley Cooper, nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Hoxie; inurnment in Hoxie Cemetery.
