VETERAN U. S. ARMY, Korean War
Born in Sheridan County, north of Studley. son of Obie and Florence (Long) Martin. He married JoAnn Ploeger on June 13, 1953, in Hoxie. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, John H. Martin, two daughters, Trela Minium, & Stephanie Maddox, two sisters, Betty Ryan, & Beatrice Rasmussen, a half-sister, Esther Armknecht, 6 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Martin, in 1965; and a daughter, Roberta Martin, in 1995.
Burial in St. Frances Catholic Cemetery, Hoxie.
