Sharon Kay Pickering, 52, Selden, died Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Logan County Hospital, Oakley.

She was born May 2, 1956 to Walter and Lula (Stanley) Simmons in Topeka.

She married Ervin T. Pickering Sr. on March 24, 1988, Kinsley. He preceded her in death Oct. 12, 2003.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Manis, of the home; three daughters, Karen Adelman, Selden, Katina Manis and Kendra Manis, Topeka; four step-children Angela, Randy, Mike and J.R. Pickering; a step-mother, Inita Simmons, Lebanon, Ore.; a brother, Larry; four sisters, Jeanie Prentice, Janie Bohr, Patsy Mah and Judy Simmons; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two granddaughters.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at Mickey-Leopold Funeral Chapel, Hoxie; burial in Hoxie Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
