Dorothy Mildred (Cooper) Selbe, 96, former Hoxie resident, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1906, in Sheridan County, daughter of Joseph and Lauretta (Suffacool) Cooper. She received her teaching certificate from Fort Hays Normal School. She married Lelan G. Selbe on Oct. 21, 1937. He died Nov. 8,1984. She was a true homemaker and fanned with her husband until their retirement in 1964. She had been a resident of Pueblo, living with her daughter and family since 1992.
Survivors include two daughters, L. Selbe Watts and her husband, Kenneth, and Nancy Selbe, two grandsons, Monte Selbe Watts, and his wife Kim, and Cooper Russell Watts.
Burial in the Hoxie Cemetery
