Michael Dwane Tice, 55, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at Hays Medical Center. He was born July 11, 1948, in Oberlin, son of Dwane and Norma (Bainter) Tice. He married Gwynne Buchanan on Dec. 21, 1968, in Dresden. He was a salesman for Hoxie Implement Company for 35 years. He had operated the Hoxie Theatre for 20 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Hoxie, the Hoxie Elks Lodge, had served on the Hoxie Alumni Association board and had been active in the Neighborhood Entertainment Company.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Brandon, two daughters, Jamie Sterling, and Michelle Slipke, his mother, a brother, Kim Tice, three sisters, Marcia Aumiller, Alis Weimer and Avis Herl, and seven grandchildren.
Burial in the Hoxie Cemetery.
