Welcome to the Tescott Historical Society of Tescott, Ottawa, County, Kansas. The Tescott Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of historical records of the area for the enjoyment of all interested.  The society supports the Tescott Museum which is located on the corner of 3rd and Minnesota in Tescott, KS. The museum is open Memorial Day weekend at various times (Saturday from 4 pm to 5:30 pm before the Alumni Dinner and then later after the conclusion of the Alumni Dinner until 10 pm and on Monday from 11 a, to 2 pm during the Lions Club Memorial Day Chicken and Noodle Dinner) and by appointment by calling Arliene Matthews at 785 283-4389. Genealogical materials housed in the museum include a nice collection off newspaper clippings, wedding, births and general news dating back many years.

Current members of the Board of Directors of the Tescott Historical Society are Arliene Matthews, President; Bonnie Christenson, Secretary; Mary Jo Berthelson, Treasurer; Hal Berkley and Clay Christenson.
