The Wakefield Museum consists of three wings, each wing having two floors.  Each of these wings contains displays of Wakefield memorabilia such as The Governor William Avery Display, The Children’s Room, Vintage Clothing,  School memorabilia, a Country Store, a  Turn of the Century Kitchen,   an African Display and many others.  Admission  to the museum is by donation.

The mission of the Wakefield Museum Association is: To serve as custodian of the history of the community of Wakefield.  To collect and display memorabilia of the community.  To archive the genealogical records of the people who founded, lived in and presently live in the community.

Present officers of the Wakefield Museum Association are Lorraine Cowell - President and Curator;  Joy Shandy -  Vice-President; Kay Geist - Acting Secretary; Barbara McGee - Treasurer. Board meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 2:00 PM.

The Wakefield Museum is open: March 20 to December 22: Wednesday through Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
                                                  
January 2 to March 19:   Saturday and Sunday only from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
                                                  Closed Easter – Thanksgiving – Christmas (Dec. 22 – Jan. 1).
