Mary Belle Miller was born April 8, 1921 in Dexter, KS to Walter Thomas and Bessie May (Johnson) Tredway. She passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney at the age of 87. She attended Plum Creek Rural School as a child.

On February 14, 1942, Mary Belle was united in marriage to Glenn F. Miller. He passed away March 21, 2006. Mary Belle worked as a clerk in Duckwall's store in 1952; she worked in Dr. Baker's dentist office in 1960 but she was best known for her thirty-one years of dedicated work by the many patients in the Medical Clinic at WaKeeney. She retired in May of 1993. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in WaKeeney.

Mary Belle will be remembered as a loving, caring and patient lady who was very involved with her grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives. She loved playing cards and would travel the surrounding area to play bingo.

Survivors include two daughters, Kaye Basinger and husband, Kendell; Sharon Dodig and husband, Stephen; four grandchildren, Amy Colman and husband, Jerry, Shane Basinger and wife, Sharon, Gwendolyn Holzmark, Andrew Sprenkel and wife, Ashley; two step-grandchildren, Dack Dodig… (missing last part of obituary)

Burial in WaKeeney City Cemetery
