He was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Seneca to Elmer and Pearl (Waters) Skillett.
He married Betty Lou Oborny on Feb. 8. 1967.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Kelly Skillett, four daughters, Susan Davis, Cheryl Skillett, Karen Skillett, and Karla Ferdig, a brother, Garold Skillett, two sisters, Opal Holland, and Evelyn Holloway; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. His parents, three brothers, Kenneth, Lyle, and Harold, a sister, Zelna, and a grandson, Tyler, preceded him in death.
