It's not listed in "Kansas Post Offices" by Robert W. Baughman. Could it possibly be Oberlin in Decatur County or Aladdin in Douglas County?

Are you sure that you don't mean Abilene or possibly Albion, Nebraska? Some of those small towns are no longer on the map because they are considered a suburb of a larger community such as Argentine, KS is now part of Kansas City, but there is still an Argentine Library there> The old Tax Records might have it, also the KS Historical Society, and there just might be an Aberdin Library if you can find out which county it is in. The KS Historical Society should have some very old maps. Remember, at one time, Kansas extended quite a distance into, what is now, Colorado.

I am looking for information on Charles W. Curry and his wife Lucy O. Clark. I have no idea what part of Kansas they were from but their son Kyle Walter was my grandfather. Their names were on his marriage certificate dated 12/10/1919. Kyle was married in Pawnee County Nebraska to Grace Irene Porter. He was born in 1899 so Charles and Lucy were most likely born about 1870-1880. Can anyone help me?

Augustus and Martha Stafford went from Nuavoo, Ill to Iowa in 1850, then apparently, shortly after that their son Thomas went on to Kan. We have information that he married and by 1853 she with an infant died. Later he married my great-grandmother Margaret Ann Patten . My question is, What was the name of the first wife. This would have been before Kan. became a state. Were there records of that marriage? I know the wife who died was in Kan. at time of her death

There are both Mizell and Powell families in Norton County. In my sources here at home, I don't find any info on the names you gave. You could try writing to the Norton County Genealogical Society, c/o Walta Russ, 322 W. Lincoln, Norton, KS 67654 and see if they have any info in the genealogy library there. Good luck, Ardie
